Gdańsk is one of the most beautiful cities in Poland, very different from Warsaw—more of a “Hanseatic fairy tale” with a port atmosphere.
Gdańsk’s Old Town is the city’s crown jewel, with its colorful facades, canals, and rich history. Long Street is one of the most beautiful main thoroughfares, running through the entire Old Town, while the Neptune Fountain serves as the symbolic center of the city and a classic meeting spot. Also worth seeing are Arthur’s Court, St. Mary’s Basilica, and the Green Bridge. Along the Motława River embankment, you can stroll along a promenade lined with boats, restaurants, and the feeling of the sea.
